The Arts Society Bath has a friendly, active membership who share an appreciation of and commitment to the arts.  We have an exciting and wide-ranging programme of lectures, Special Interest days, gallery visits, trips away and other social activities.  New members and visitors are always welcome at our meetings in the Assembly Rooms (see below).  For details  of this season’s programme, use the links at the top of the page.

The Arts Society Bath is a member society of The Arts Society, the National Association. The Arts Society is an education charity set up to promote the appreciation and study of the decorative and fine arts and to help in the preservation of our artistic heritage. Formerly NADFAS (National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts), The Arts Society celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018 and The Arts Society Bath has been established for 38 years.

The Arts Society Bath promotes its aims through lectures (nine per season running from October to June) on fine and decorative arts in the widest sense and through Special Interest Days, as well as visits and trips away. We also promote arts for the young through Young Arts and the not so young in Community Arts. Our members are also involved in other volunteering activities such as Church Recording and Heritage Volunteers.
